Portrait of Alex Turcotte

Biography

Rigour in technology decisions

Alex Turcotte is Managing Partner of Services-conseils Monessor inc., a Montréal strategic IT management advisory practice. He advises SMEs and regulated financial institutions on modernization, governance, risk management and AI adoption.

For more than twenty years, he has worked where technology, product and governance meet. He spent more than fifteen years at TMX Group, operator of the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Montréal Exchange among others, an environment where platforms are critical and regulation is demanding. There he held technology and product leadership roles, with full responsibility for digital products used by key capital markets participants. He also led business technology globally for Maples Group’s fiduciary and fund services, and the IT function of Targray, a fast-growing international SME.

That experience shapes his approach: technology only creates value when it serves clear, shared and well-understood needs, and governance does not have to be the enemy of speed.

He works alongside leadership teams to clarify priorities, keep risk under control and turn technology decisions into business results, with a calm, structured and pragmatic style that is particularly useful in times of transition, modernization or growth. He works in French and English.
